After four
months of preparation, THIS THING CALLED LOVE came to an
end. The Manoel Theatre was filled with energy and
enthusiasm as Hoi Polloi’s 40 membered cast, backed up
by Sigmund Mifsud’s seven piece band sang BLOW GABRIEL
BLOW for the last time on Sunday 29th. It was a long way
but the whole team worked hard as this could be seen by
the audience who enjoyed the positive energy radiating
from the young cast. The energy lives on as the cast is
still meeting regularly for different activities. Many
thanks to all those who helped with the show including
the ushers, the backstage crew, the wardrobe ladies, the
make up artists and the hair stylists.
With the show now over, Hoi Polloi is working on setting
up its new office. In the next few weeks it will be
cleared up, painted and redecorated into the Hoi Polloi
office, store room and wardrobe. Further more, works on
some new upcoming shows has already started but till now
the directors have decided to keep it secret and more
details will be given as the theatrical year unfolds.
Meanwhile the young company will keep working on what it
holds dear, that is its love of theatre and for doing
something for a valuable cause. More details and photos
about THIS THING CALLED LOVE and other activities will
be available shortly. |
